At myplace we are the first eco estate agent in the country and our message is simple: YOU can play an important part in reducing carbon emissions by as much as 40% AND save money. Our downloadable buyers and sellers guides to ‘going green’ provide a guide a sustainable, affordable living with great tips on how to save money on energy bills by making your home more energy efficient. Leading by example, our offices have already made the following commitments:


- We will plant a tree for every home sold
- Made the switch to a renewable energy supplier
- Installed low energy fluro lights
- Limiting use of air conditioning/heating
- Switching off all unnecessary lighting/fans, computers and printers
- Procuring eco friendly paper
- Recycling office waste
- Sourcing soy based printer inks
- Adopting a new IT system to reduce myplace’s reliance on paper.

We have also launched ‘Take Stock‘, an ambitious national campaign aimed at encouraging other estate agents to play a significant role in ‘greening’ the UK’s existing housing stock, which is responsible for nearly half of the UK’s total carbon emissions.
