HIP’s

On the 10th September 2007, the law required sellers of 3 bedroom and above properties, to produce a Home Information Pack or HIP whilst marketing the property. This was extended to all properties on the 1st January 2008. The pack must include an Energy Performance Certificate which tells you how energy efficient the property is.

This will require an energy assessor to carry out a survey of your property. Other compulsory documents include an index of contents, a sale statement, searches and evidence of title.
